Conquering the Holiday Hustle
The busyness of the holiday season can be stressful. There's planning, shopping and family gatherings. But there's also the unspoken and invisible stressors. Like losing a family member and not being able to spend one last Christmas with them. Struggling at work, battling mental health issues, or debilitated by fear.
While all of these things can make us feel defeated, Romans 8:37 says we are "more than conquerors" in Christ. This means that no matter what we face, we have the power to overcome through our faith in Jesus.
Three ways to conquer our struggles:
Pray
Philippians 4:6 is always a reminder that God is ready to take our anxiety and throw as far as the east is from the west. When we bring our worries and fears to Him in prayer, He promises to give us peace that surpasses all understanding.
Meditate
In Psalm 119, David speaks of the calming effect of meditating on God's Word. Taking time to reflect on the promises and truths found in the Bible can help us regain a heavenly perspective, even in the midst of earthly chaos.
Community
It's important to surround yourself with a group of people that encourage you and you can do life with. Leaning on the support and wisdom of others can make all the difference when you're feeling overwhelmed.
While these steps won't take the busyness and anxiety out of the holidays, they will help you get through the holidays. And just to remind you that you ARE a conqueror, we've designed this t-shirt as a reminder of God's awesome power. Check it out here.
